Los profesionales que deseen asistir a las actividades pueden registrarse con un costo reducido de $100.000.
Los estudiantes de otras instituciones que deseen asistir a las actividades pueden registrarse con un costo reducido de $50.000.

WEA 2026 – New venue
WEA 2026 will take place at Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina (main campus) in Bogotá – Colombia. Additional info and address can be found at:

These have been very hard days for the Colombian people—especially our friends in the coffee region and Pereira—who are starting all recovery works after the earthquake on August 10th. On behalf of the WEA 2026 Program Committee, we extend our support and solidarity to our colleagues at the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (UTP) and the Fundación del Área Andina.
Based on information provided by UTP officers— important damages to 65% of their facilities, alongside significant damage to hotel infrastructure and general services, the airport is operating at partial capacity (under 40%), and the slow recovery of the city center—we cannot guarantee that WEA 2026 to be held under relatively safe and normal conditions this October.
Given these circumstances, the WEA 2026 Program Committee, together with the local organizers, has decided to hold WEA 2026 on the originally scheduled dates (October 21–23, 2026) in Bogotá so it offers the appropriate logistical conditions to smoothly host the event.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your travel plans, as Pereira is one of the finest destinations in the coffee region. At the same time, we are deeply grateful for your understanding regarding this decision, which we believe is the best we can do for a successful WEA 2026.
